ダンフォース・アンカー説明

アンカーはクラウンの部分にストックがあり、これがフリュークの支点となる。フリュークは幅広の尖ったブレードのような形状で、ストックにヒンジで固定されている。通常、フリュークは2本あり、アンカーをセットしたときに揺動して海底に食い込むことができる。

ダンフォース・アンカーを特徴づけているのは、軽量でコンパクトなデザインであること。多くの場合、高強度スチール製で、耐久性と耐腐食性を確保している。

ダンフォース・アンカーのフリュークは、砂、泥、砂利など、さまざまなタイプの海底に突き刺さるように設計されている。アンカーを投下すると、フリュークスが海底に食い込み、しっかりと固定される。フリュークの鋭い先端と広いブレードは、特に砂地や泥底でアンカーの保持力を高めるのに役立つ。
