Zodra het beton is uitgehard, kan de hijspen worden gebruikt om de bekisting op zijn plaats te hijsen met een kraan of andere hijsapparatuur. Het oog of de lus bovenaan het anker biedt een veilig bevestigingspunt voor de hijsapparatuur.<\/p>\n

Hijspen oogankers worden vaak gebruikt bij de bouw van muren, kolommen en andere betonconstructies waar bekistingen tijdens het bouwproces herhaaldelijk opgetild en verplaatst moeten worden.
