Pluggen worden vaak gebruikt voor het ophangen van planken, kasten, spiegels en andere zware voorwerpen. Ze bieden een veilig en stabiel ankerpunt voor schroeven, zodat deze niet uit de muur of het oppervlak kunnen trekken onder het gewicht van het voorwerp.<\/p>\n

Het installatieproces bestaat uit het boren van een gat in het oppervlak, het inbrengen van de plug in het gat en vervolgens het vastdraaien van een schroef of bout in de plug. Het uitlopende uiteinde van de deuvel zet uit wanneer de schroef wordt aangedraaid, waardoor de deuvel strak in het gat past en een stevig verankeringspunt vormt.<\/p>\n
